The British Tag ♡

After a three week holiday (well needed after dealing with the stresses of GCSE's!), I am back in the blogging game. There's something great about tags, I don't know if it's just me but they are so original and a fun alternative to watch/read compared to the usual favourites or hauls. This is the 'British Tag' created by the lovely Sammi from the YouTube channel 'BeautyCrush'. I love this tag and am very excited to be doing this tag, so let's get on with the questions!

1. How many cups of tea do you have a day? + How many sugars?
On average, I have roughly two cups of Earl Grey or English Breakfast tea a day, and I take two spoonfuls of caster sugar. I like my tea sweet!

2. Favourite part of your roast
Hmmm...I honestly can't decide between the stuffing or Yorkshire pudding, but everything has to be drenched in gravy! How could it not be?!

3. Favourite dunking biscuit
My favourite dunking biscuit has to be a chocolate digestive, the chocolate goes all gooey and melted. But my favourite all-time biscuits are either jammie dodgers or chocolate fingers.

4. Favourite quintessentially British pastime?
It would probably have to be going to a pub on a summery sunday afternoon, and having a roast dinner in the pub garden. Don't knock it until you try it!

5. Favourite word?
Cheeky. Mainly springing from my love of Jack and Finn Harries, but it's just a fun, quirky little word. If you're not from England, or don't know what this word means, it is basically being a mixture of bold, funny, humorous and outgoing.

6. Cockney rhyme slang?
I should be ashamed of this because my dad is Cockney but all I know is 'Apples and Pears, Up the Stairs'.
7. Favourite sweet
My favourite sweet has to be either toxic waste, fizzy cherry cola bottles or skittles.

8. What would your pub be called?
   The Thorn and Rose.

9. No.1 British person
   Emma Watson.

10. Favourite shop / restaurant
My favourite shop for clothing is H&M. My favourite restaurant is a toss up between Pizza Express and Nandos. I can't decide!

11. What British song pops into your head?
   Wannabe by the Spice Girls.

12. Marmite.
No, I can't stand it! I find it way too salty.

So that is my British Tag, I hope you enjoyed reading it!

What's In My Bag | Summer 2014 ♡

A woman's bag can tell you a lot about the owner. As women, our bags can be our best friends or our worst enemies. They are a place to store our knick-knacks and hide away our crumpled receipts and for most people, to store copious amounts of lip products! I recently bought a new bag and thought it would be perfect timing to write this blog post. My bag is the 'Black Crotchet Bowler Bag' from New Look, which I bought for £19.99. I would really recommend this bag as it is extremely spacious, durable and can be used in smart or casual situations. It has very pretty crotchet detailing. So I've decided to clear my bag of receipts and litter, and show you the essentials I will be keeping in my bag this Summer:

1. Oyster Card. As I am can't drive until next year, having an oyster card is essential to get anywhere by train or bus. I'm not sure where the case is from, it is teal with multi-coloured spots, my friend got this for me.

2. Earphones.  These come in very handy when I'm alone in public and feel like being antisocial. These are a cheap pair that I got given for free when I bought my phone.

3. Phone. This is the iPhone 4s in white. This isn't included in the picture as I actually took the photo with my phone. It is a given that phones are necessary nowadays and I never leave the house without mine. My case is from an online store called Etsy.

4. Umbrella. In England, you will always need to be prepared for unpredictable weather, even in the Summer! My umbrella is from New Look for £7.99. It is a lovely, simple, light-weight umbrella to take everywhere.

5. Tissues. I always keep tissues with me, just in case. More times than not, I find myself handing them out to my friends. They are a life saver!

6. Fragrance. It is always important to carry some type of fragrance to freshen up. My preference in Summer is The Pink Grapefruit Body Mist and it smells amazing! It is my favourite scent from The Body Shop.

7. Water. I usually bring water or a drink around with me so that I don't become dehydrated. I have no fancy water bottles, just an old plastic bottle.

8. A Notebook. I'm very old-fashioned in the sense that I enjoy making tick-boxes and lists, and can only feel organised when I have everything laid out in front of me I can also jot things down on the go. My notebook is a turquoise, black and white chevron pattern and is from Wilkinson's.

9. Sunglasses. Now that it is Summer, the sun has been making more regular appearances, so sunglasses are a must have. I prefer having different pairs of cheap sunglasses instead of one main pair of expensive sunglasses. Mine are from H&M, and were roughly £2.50.

10. Keys. A definite essential...

11. Lip Balm. I always have lip balm with me to keep the chapped lips at bay. I picked this Burt's Bees Pink Grapefruit Lip Balm up from Boots last week and I am now completely obsessed. It is moisturising and very hydrating. I think we are sensing a pink grapefruit obsession here...

12. Purse. This purse is from New Look, I got it a couple of years back and it has been a trusty essential.

13. Post-it Notes. I usually carry post-it notes to write down shopping lists and to-do lists. I find them very helpful. I also carry around a pen with me so that I have instant access to it in any "pen emergencies". I know how much I sound like an old lady right now haha!

13. Glasses. Being short-sighted, I need glasses to read boards and signs. For example, I will use them if I am in Costa and need to see the menu on the headboards. Also, if I am alone and can't read the bus numbers. These glasses are from the brand 'Sting' and I actually think they are men's glasses but hey-ho, I don't mind them.

14. Hair slides. I am always in need of a couple of these to throw in my bag, whenever I want to get my hair out of my face or if my hair is in a fishtail plait and is beginning to fall out.

So that is all that is in my bag, summer edition. Let me know what your Summer bag essentials are in the comments below.

Nostalgia ♡

If you know me well, you will know that I am a little obsessed with photography and taking photos. Whether it be on my iphone or on a DSLR camera, you will always find me taking snaps of everything. Nowadays, we all post our pictures online on Facebook, Instagram or store them on our computers. As much as I love being able to show everyone my photos, there's something special about having physical copies to keep and reminisce over. There are many ways to have these memories at your fingertips.

During Autumn last year, I heard about a website called 'Printstagram'. This website allows you to print your instagram photos and have them made into cute polaroid-style photos. You can choose from a mini size, which I opted for, or a larger size. You can also make stickers, calendars and much more, which is pretty cool. I think my order of 48 mini squares was roughly £25. I decided to try this out as I had recently decorated my room and felt that these would liven up the room and make a great decoration. Below are some pictures of my Printstagram collection, I decided to shape it like a heart.

Another thing I love doing is taking photos in a photobooth, the experience is so fun and you get a cute selection of photos for an inexpensive price. You can find a photobooth in most shopping centres. The black and white strip is actually from the Brandy Melville on Carnaby Street in London! Some shops such as Hollister and Abercrombie and Fitch give you the chance to have a photo with the models for free.

As you may not know, I have a slight obsession with jars and retro tins. I find them very handy for storing things and organising my bits and bobs. Yesterday, I found this gorgeous vintage coca-cola tin in Flutterbyes. I am in love! I got it for £3.29 which I thought was a great price. I found it so perfect for storing little knick-knacks such as these photos. I keep some old home photos, the photobooth strips I've collected over the years and some left-over Prinstagram photos.

I love looking through these photos, I always feel very nostalgic and I can't wait to see what photos I take in the future. So print out your photos and store them, it's such a different feeling to looking at them on a screen.

My Jewellery Collection ♡

As you may or may not know, I don't have copious amounts of jewellery. Although, what I have, I love! I have never been one to hoard various pieces of jewellery but recently, I have picked up a few bits and bobs that I have completely fallen in love with. Without further ado, let's begin...
Here is an over-view of the entire collection. I told you I don't have a lot! The entire collection consists of mainly golds, silvers and rose golds. I prefer simple, thin and neutral pieces, as opposed to statement jewellery.

These are my two wrist pieces. On the left is my watch. This rose gold boyfriend watch is from ASOS and cost £24.99. It is now sold out though. This never leaves my wrist and I love the detailing on the face. Plus it means that I am no longer late for everything! To the right is a maroon and pink material bracelet that my friend brought me back from Mallorca. This is quite a simple bracelet but it is light weight and adds a great pop of colour to any outfit.

These are my most-worn necklaces. Going from left to right, there is a silver 3D triangle on a medium length chain from Brandy Melville. Next is a flat, mesh upside down triangle, which is also from Brandy Melville.  Im not sure if these are still available in stores but I can't find them online anymore. I bought mine from the shop in Chelsea. Next, is a gold, delicate feather necklace on a short chain from H&M. Finally, on the far right is a pearl heart wrapped in a silver strand. I bought this from a souvenir shop in Cyprus, you could choose what colour pendant and chain you want. This is nice to wear for a smart occasion but can also be worn casual.

These silver band rings came as a pack of six. They are from H&M and cost only £2.99. What a bargain! They come in a variety of thicknesses and some are midi, some are regular rings. Of course, you don't have to wear them all at the same time, which I like about them.

These gold rings are by far my favourite pieces. They are all from Brandy Melville. If you ever are stuck for a place to find rings, go there for amazing, cheap jewellery! The triangle on the left is a recent purchase that I love but if you wear it facing down, you might accidentally impale yourself, so be careful please! This was £3. All three of the midi rings came in a pack for £6. There's a thin plain one, a thin ridged one and a thicker ridged one. These rings are very delicate and feminine looking, which I love. They are the perfect accessories and are great for stacking. The bow ring on my ring finger was £4. This was the first piece I got from Brandy Melville.
