Working closely with Fashion Capital recently, my dad and I decided to create a look-book of how teenagers in the 21st century style certain trends differently from the past. This photo shoot took place in Life Photography Studio in Chatterton Road, Bromley. My two friends and I posed and danced (and pretty much did anything else you can think of!) in front of a green screen, using the occasional prop such as stalls and seats. The purpose of the green screen was to later allocate a specific background to each image to give a nostalgic, vintage feeling. Although a couple of the backgrounds were hand-drawn with my dad's graphic design skills (see disco and monotone checkered photo), the rest were photos from his large library of photos, from London to Miami, and even the odd trip to Space!!).

1980s
Using a real 'pleated bat wing' coat, dating back thirty years, we recreated an 80s Miami. Posing in front of a vintage car in Miami Beach, shot in July 2014, I am wearing a camel coloured coat with black detailing, paired with thin black frames; showing the trend of wearing big glasses. In order to modify the outfit, I wore dark wash skinny jeans, a rose gold chunky bracelet watch and curled my hair into loose, beachy waves.
1990s
So 1990s is definitely my favourite era. Baggy jumpers, jeans, checkered shirts... that's me every day! In the first photo, we are standing in front of the John Lennon Wall in Prague. The colour definitely showcases the bright, bold trends. We are seen wearing the famous checkered shirts, however nowadays I have noticed that teenagers tend to tie them around their waists and pair them with crop tops and either leggings or high waisted trousers. Also, the classic 'braid' hairstyle has been experimented with a lot more nowadays and can be fishtail, french braid, waterfall braid, dutch braid, etc. I paired my outfit with statement accessories such as a backpack and my new Frends headphones to give it a more retro look. This background was also in Miami, Florida. The last picture shows me in front of a battered wall, in black and white, emphasizing the grunge phase. I am wearing a scrunchie in my hair, a graphic baggy jumper, high waisted jeans and low top converse.
